Theme and Subject

My theme for my 20x30 is how music can be peaceful and how it can sort of engross a person into it (wrapped up).

My subject in this piece is the violin and the girl playing the violin.

Thing I like

I do not remember what I m supposed to write about. But the things in this are a cat and the nightstand. I would say that the meaning of this is extremely calm and laid back do to the amounts of negative space and that there's not really anything up close and in your face. 

My cloth

I think my piece is pretty good. The use of negative space is pretty creative with a black background with black scribbles all around it. The contrast is pretty good with my lights and darks I suppose. But I really like the edges on th  left side of the cloth and how they're really blurry and smudged out towards the bottom but really sharp and prominent towards the top on the cloth where the knot and most action is.

I like this

I really like the composition on this drawing because it seems really stable and solid. I think the contrast and edges on this piece really help to make it stable in the negative space as well.
